Process Control Technician

Large manufacturing company is looking for a Process Control Technician for one of their facilities east of Cambridge, MD

• $38.50-41.00 per hour Paid Weekly!

Job Summary:

Supports the Automation and Process Control systems and operations, maintenance, and automation engineers.

Participate on improvement teams and implement projects under the direction of the Process Automation Engineer or other engineers in Operations.

Implement and support control system's best practices under the direction of the Process Control Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line troubleshooting on process control systems, applications, and infrastructure. (Off-hours support may be required)
• Evaluate risks to ensure safe and reliable plant operations during troubleshooting and maintenance activities on control systems and applications.
• Ensure all changes follow the Management of Change (MOC) process and are properly tested prior to loading into a production system per plant procedures.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required; 2-year technical/trade school degree is preferred
• 3+ years of manufacturing or related experience
• Working knowledge of instrumentation and electrical installations (Motor Control Centers, etc.).
• Experienced in process control systems
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent in hardware and software development skills.
• Effective in understanding automation networks.
• Travel will be 50% to 75%
