Role Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated scientist to support the development of next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). In this role, you’ll perform hands-on conjugation and purification experiments with antibodies, peptides, and oligonucleotides, optimizing processes that directly impact the success of innovative therapeutics. Working under the guidance of experienced technical leads, you’ll gain valuable experience while contributing to projects that drive real-world impact.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement phase appropriate bioconjugation development strategies for the attachment of cytotoxic payloads, peptides, oligonucleotides, or other small molecules to antibodies, proteins, peptides, or other therapeutic entities.
  • Delivers experimental output with a high degree of scientific integrity, schedule and target adherence, and quality with guidance.
  • Exhibits safety awareness by conducting lab and other operations in a safe manner and holding themselves accountable for safe behavior in the work environment.
  • Act on feedback and shows continuous commitment to learning and development.
  • Makes efforts towards independently working and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Keeps accurate, legible and complete records of all experiments, observations, and equipment.
  • Writes high quality reports and delivers presentations to customers and management with some guidance in alignment with the project milestones.
  • Builds an understanding of process chemistry for developing active pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • May maintain technical equipment.
  • Accomplishes other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities per reasonable request.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a chemistry related discipline.
  • Experience with bioconjugation lab and analytical techniques desired.
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical reports.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and other relevant technical software platforms
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a chemistry related discipline.

Special Factors

  • While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for the job activity.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include: near, distance, peripheral, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly works with moving mechanical parts and may work with toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The work may be performed in humid areas with low or high temperatures.
  • This work may need to work with a respirator or operate with full-body Tyvek suits and supplied air or PAPR.
