We are seeking talented candidates to join our Medicinal Chemistry teams in Princeton, NJ, Cambridge, MA, and San Diego, CA.

Day to Day Duties Include:

• Design and synthesize novel compounds aimed at treating human diseases, with a focus on Oncology, Neurosciences, Immunology, and Cardiovascular therapeutic areas.

• Apply advanced organic chemistry techniques and contemporary medicinal chemistry strategies to address project-specific challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of academic / industry experience

Or

Masters degree and 3+ years of academic / industry experience

Or

PhD in Chemistry and no years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in organic chemistry with 0-2 years of additional related research experience.

• Demonstrated ability to design and execut e multistep synthesis of complex organic molecules using modern techniques in organic chemistry.

• E xpertise in the purification and characterization of organic compounds (Chromatography and NMR, MS, IR spectroscopy).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of synthetic methods and reaction mechanisms.

• Good oral/written communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

• The ideal candidate will attach a research summary, no more than 3 pages.

Compensation Overview:

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employees work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture.
