Responsibilities
  • Support specifications and standards in areas such as compound, component, curing process, or uniformity analyses

  • Apply a systematic approach to identify and isolate problems and their root causes to design and implement effective solutions

  • Statistical analysis and data collection through software such as Minitab

  • Determine methods and technology to convert inputs into acceptable outputs with process capability

  • Learn and utilize key chemical manufacturing tools and systems; recommending improvements where needed

  • Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals

  • Work in a hands-on environment with cross functional teams, at least 50% on floor

  • Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule and cost

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you need

  • To be pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or another applicable major and actively enrolled in the degree program at an accredited university

  • To be junior-senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0

  • Completed course work in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD

  • To be available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6-month minimum co-op assignment

  • No other work experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know!
