Radiochemist I or II - permanent FTE role fully onsite in Atlanta, GA. If you are a traditional chemist / nuclear chemist / radiochemist with radiation experience you could fit this role!
You will manufacture radioactive calibration standards, check sources and and check the proficiency of testing samples. Plans and organizes quarterly production of Performance Testing Samples, evaluates data, performs some troubleshooting, and provides support to the traceability program.

responsibilities:
- Manufactures calibration standards, check sources and PE samples.
- Manufactures sources to support Counting Laboratory and NIST MAP / traceability program.
- Produces mixed isotope batches e.g., MGS, TCC, GRS, A/F, and others.
- Performs gas and solution calibrations, reviews, and signs Certificates of Calibration.
- Maintains laboratory environment, equipment, radionuclide, and chemical inventories.
qualifications:
-- a 4-year degree in Chemistry with 5 years related experience in radiochemistry and standard preparation.
-- 3 years combining wet radiochemistry (analytical balance operation, dilutions, pipetting),
(basics of nuclear counting methodology and nuclear physics experience a plus)
-- GLP experience
-- Nuclear Data software
