Summary
The Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Group (Oncogenesis TRC) is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist with strong expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, and assay development to support small-molecule cancer drug discovery. The role will focus on developing cellular assays, conducting mechanism of action (MoA) studies, and advancing novel therapeutics in a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cell-based and biochemical assays to support small-molecule drug discovery.
- Design and construct cell lines and molecular tools for MoA studies.
- Perform mammalian cell culture, gene editing (CRISPR, shRNA, siRNA), and protein/DNA/RNA assays .
- Conduct and optimize cell proliferation, cell cycle, apoptosis, MSD, and Incucyte assays .
- Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data clearly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive discovery programs and support project decision-making.
Requirements
- BS in Biology (3+ years) or MS (1+ year) with relevant laboratory experience.
- Hands-on expertise in mammalian cell culture, viral transduction, CRISPR KO, transfection, western blot, and immunofluorescence .
- Strong knowledge of in vitro assay development and willingness to learn new techniques.
- Proficient in data analysis and scientific software , with experience in 96-/384-well assay formats.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills ; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: Experience with small-molecule discovery, SAR support, RNAseq, and genome-wide screening .
