Job Summary

A laboratory in Cincinnati is seeking a contract Analytical Laboratory Technician to support quality control and chemical analysis of raw materials and formulated products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of analytical instruments and techniques, and a strong commitment to laboratory safety and accurate documentation.

Job Description

  • Perform chemical and physical testing of organic and inorganic materials (e.g., pigments, inks, additives, solvents) using established procedures.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as: ICP, GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, KF titrator
  • Conduct ISO calibration of equipment.
  • Document all test results accurately in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Follow all safety and chemical hygiene protocols and site regulations.
  • Order laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Perform repetitive quality control analysis as required.
  • Shift: 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Skills Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical chemistry environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ethical conduct in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry and techniques such as HPLC, GC/MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, ICP, pH, conductivity, and wet chemistry.
  • Ability to carry out light manual tasks in a laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with titrations, pH/conductivity measurements, and basic wet chemistry procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a self-motivated work ethic.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced lab setting.

Education and Experience Required

  • Associate degree in a chemistry-related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant chemistry coursework will be considered.

Salary

  • $21 per hour
