We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist / Forensic Analyst with deep expertise in financial controls, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience preventing, detecting, and resolving complex fraud schemes, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
This is an intermediate professional-level role requiring the ability to work on multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and provide leadership on fraud prevention and forensic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct investigations into payment card fraud and financial crimes from detection to resolution.
- Apply advanced forensic techniques to acquire, preserve, and analyze digital evidence.
- Monitor and analyze transaction data, security alerts, and logs from SIEM/fraud detection systems.
- Detect and alert on fraud patterns, including unusual spikes in failed transactions, burst activity, and high-volume anomalies.
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and law enforcement to prepare reports, expert testimony, and evidence packages.
- Conduct forensic readiness assessments and contribute to incident response planning.
- Mentor junior analysts and stay updated on fraud tactics, cyber threats, and security technologies.
Requirements
- 8 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with focus on fraud detection, digital forensics, and risk analysis.
- Strong knowledge of ISO, CIS, NIST, CSF, SCF frameworks.
- Hands-on expertise with forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, or similar ).
- Proficiency with data analysis tools ( SQL, Python, scripting languages ) to investigate fraud.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with ability to present findings to both technical and executive audiences.
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Payments Professional (CPP), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
