Job Title: Quality Control Senior Scientist
Your Role:
In this role your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform complex, multi-disciplined processes and assays, utilizing a high level of technical skill and knowledge.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting, leveraging root cause analysis tools to resolve complex technical issues.
- Lead the development of new methods and processes for existing and custom products, instruments, and software.
- Contribute to the manufacturing area's support functions, including maintaining equipment, preparing reagents, and ensuring a safe lab environment.
- Write, modify, and improve procedures to ensure consistency with quality guidelines and participate in quality audits.
- Complete a required volume of work to meet departmental goals and deadlines, while effectively communicating the status of all operations.
- Act as a key scientific resource across departments by remaining current in your field and providing technical consultation.
- Develop effective Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) projects and provide clear, accurate documentation for new assays and improvements.
- Train personnel on instruments, equipment, and techniques by providing hands-on demonstrations and theoretical support.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science discipline and 10+ years in Life Science industry or independent laboratory research environment.
OR
- Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science discipline and 5+ years in Life Science industry or independent laboratory research environment.
OR
- Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science discipline and 1+ years in Life Science industry or independent laboratory research environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Math and General Science.
- Ph.D. or Masters in Biochemistry with enzyme lab work.
- Experience with laboratory instruments, equipment and analytical techniques.
- Experience with chemical handling methods.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written.
