Job Title: Chemical Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Technician who will be responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to ISO9001 standards. This role involves preparing safety topics, chairing weekly safety meetings, and covering various testing areas in the lab as needed. The technician will monitor sample status in the QC Database, close and release product results when necessary, and address personnel and quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present safety topics in weekly meetings.
- Ensure product quality and adherence to ISO9001 standards.
- Perform testing in different lab areas as required.
- Monitor and update sample status in the QC Database.
- Communicate and resolve personnel issues with management.
- Identify and recommend corrective actions for lab and production errors.
- Enter and maintain customer and product specifications in the quality management system.
- Validate Certificates of Analysis and ensure correct specifications are applied.
- Initiate specification requests when necessary.
- Monitor and release raw materials in quality inspection promptly.
Essential Skills
- Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Knowledge and experience in chemical testing.
- Proficiency in wet chemistry and raw material knowledge.
Work Environment
The position operates on a first shift from 5am to 1:30pm, providing a structured environment for quality inspection and testing. The role involves working collaboratively with both lab and production teams to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Plainfield, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
