We have an immediate need for a Chemical Engineering Intern to work in our Hartland, Wisconsin campus. The Chemical Engineering Intern will report to the Process Engineering Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non - Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will have safety focus with safe working habits, good communications skills, organization, ability to interpret instructions, and an attention to detail.
Intern to work in our Hartland ,WI office this summer. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.
Job Description:
- Assist in analyzing and improving production workflows and systems
- Support data collection and process documentation
- Collaborate with Pilot Chemists, Process Engineers, and Applications Engineering teams
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in R&D laboratory on Pilot start-ups as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Internship:
- Aquatech Internships are in the office five days per week, 40 hours per week. The internship program is temporary employment that lasts for a maximum duration of ninety (90) days. Successful completion of this internship will provide you with invaluable skills in the water treatment industry and make a compelling addition to your professional journey.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Pursuing a BS degree in Chemical Engineering or related field OR
- Mechanical aptitude/technical background desired
- Experience/training in bench top 'wet' inorganic chemistry analytical procedures desired
- Detail oriented, Communicate and receive precise chemical data and procedures
- Ability to understand and follow detailed lab procedures and safety sheets
- Experience/familiarity with standard laboratory instruments such as pH and conductivity meters, analytical balances, and microscopes
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn and grow in responsibility on the job
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word
- Ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision
