Discover Impactful Work:
We need a scientist for our Purification Business to help with new protein purification products.
A Day in the Life:
- Develop new chromatographic purification solutions that meet customer specifications.
- Implement statistical tools and design of experiments (DOE) to evaluate designs, optimize processes, and ensure new products meet quality attributes.
- Perform analytical methods for surface characterization and assess material performance.
- Design and synthesize new surface functions and bio-conjugation technologies for biomolecule purification solutions.
- Draft process SOPs and collaborate with cross-functional groups to transfer processes into the manufacturing environment.
Keys to Success
Education
MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field with 1+ years of experience or BS degree with 3+ years of experience required.
Experience
- Laboratory experience in solid-phase functionalization, polymer chemistry, and/or bio-conjugation chemistry with DOE methodology required.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time.
- Proven teamwork capabilities including data sharing, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Expertise in at least one of the following: solid-phase functionalization, polymer chemistry, bioconjugation, chromatography, or biomolecule purification.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in organic/polymer chemistry.
- Skilled in written and verbal communication, and in detailing and sharing experimental methods and findings.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt experiments as needed.
- Proficiency in characterization tools such as chromatography and spectroscopy.
- Excellent prioritization skills and a positive attitude towards navigating ambiguity.
