Description What Youll Do

• Conduct a variety of clinical laboratory testsincluding chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyondadhering to established guidelines.
• Evaluate test results for correctness, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and manage the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Contribute to specimen collection processes and prepare samples for analysis as required.
• Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, mentor new staff or students, and assist in maintaining quality standards of the lab.
• Uphold a safe, organized working environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• A Bachelors degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with the anticipation of ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Ensure ongoing certification maintenance throughout your career.
