Responsibilities

  • Nutrition data collection and analysis to support various internal workstreams, including competitive assessments, portfolio analysis, and recipe nutrition analysis. Develop reports and/or recommendations based on data collected.
  • Guide portfolio transformation through support of internal governance process, tracking, and providing guidance on renovation and new product innovation to R&D partners.
  • Support development of internal and external presentations & education materials; support internal nutrition education efforts for Sales, Marketing, and R&D on topics of relevance for the Foods business.
  • Review nutrition materials for scientific accuracy & compliance with internal guidelines. Route documents through internal approval process and coordinate with cross-functional partners to develop solutions to ensure delivery by deadlines.
  • Scoping and assessing scientific literature to inform product development and support evidence-based decision-making
  • Liaison with external agencies for the purposes of product submissions for federal feeding programs, maintenance of licenses and certifications, and ingredient verifications.
  • Network internally and highly influence matrix teams to achieve success. Internal audiences include clinical research, regulatory, legal, marketing, product development, consumer insights and sales. Route documents through internal approval process and coordinate with cross-functional partners to develop solutions to ensure delivery by deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $64,300 - $107,650.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (US or foreign equivalent) in Nutritional Science, Food Science or a closely related field.
  • Registered Dietitian or other healthcare professional credential preferred
  • 0 – 2 years of experience at a major food manufacturer
  • Recent gradate acceptable

Travel: Minimum 10-15% domestic travel availability required

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners in a highly matrixed environment, achieve trusted advisor relationships with cross-functional peers to navigate complex projects demands
  • Ability to translate complex science into concise and understandable education for internal and external audiences
  • Effective time management and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic R&D community environment
  • Proactive in bringing new ideas to the team or the organization (innovating) to improve processes, work environment, and collaboration.
  • Experience working within North America (US/Canada) market specific regulations preferred
  • Flexible and comfortable with change; ability to balance need to deliver against aggressive business timelines with excellence.
