Aquent has an exciting role for a Cell Line Development Research Associate in Philadelphia!
This role is an on-site position. For this reason, we will only consider candidates who can comfortably commute to our clients office.
In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States

- Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this role.

As a Cell Line Development Research Associate, youll be a vital member of the team, driving progress in viral vector production. Your expertise in cell culture and molecular biology will be essential in optimizing processes and ensuring the highest quality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.
What Youll Do:
- Culture mammalian cells for viral production using various methods, including shake flasks, spinner flasks, spin tubes, deep well plates, and automated platforms.
- Conduct experiments to develop, optimize, and scale-up AAV producer cell lines.
- Prepare essential process documentation, including protocols, data analysis summaries, and technical reports.
- Optimize transfection and transduction protocols for newly engineered cell lines.
- Maintain meticulous laboratory records.
- Adhere to stringent quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to project teams and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
Must-Haves:
- B.S. with 3-6 years of experience or M.S. with 2-5 years of relevant scientific or technical experience in the life sciences industry, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in cell culture techniques, including materials, instruments, and technologies.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with viral vector production.
- Expertise in creating, analyzing, and characterizing engineered cell lines and stability studies (subcloning, clonal expansion, transient transfection, and expression screening).
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (plasmid design, molecular cloning, SDS-PAGE/western blotting, qPCR, etc.).
- Experience with automation and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs).
- Familiarity with AAV biology.
- Experience with laboratory automation hardware and software.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $34.25 to $38.06 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
