We are searching for the best talent for Scientist Molecular Pathology
Position Summary:
Support technical operations in Oncology TR and Molecular Pathology Histology laboratories.
General
- Responsible for the direct and accurate reporting of raw data in accordance with the DDI guidelines and for the quality of this data.
- Complies with OSHA safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate effectively with Biobank to ensure proper management of samples used by the TR and molecular pathology lab.
- Participate in maintenance of laboratory equipment as requested by lab staff.
- Maintain compliance and safety training in accordance with company policies.
Histology
- Run routine H&E and coverslip slides on automated system
- Perform whole slide scanning to digitize histology slides.
- Upload metadata for digital images in database systems.
- Manage reagent changes of auto stainer.
- Mix bulk reagents for automated platforms.
- Produce histology slides
- Perform IHC
- Knowledge of vivo procedures in xenografts
TR labs
- Training in the operation of FACs device.
- Produce results and provide data to program lead.
PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Contacts Inside the Company:
- Translational Research, Discovery, Clinical Research
- Supervision: Work under guidance from Principal Scientist and staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS degree with at least 5 years experience or MS and 3 yrs of experience.
- Related Experience: Assay development, chemical handling.
- Significant Safety or Working Considerations: Understand safe working practices with organic solvents.
- Must meet all physical requirements to perform duties including ability to carry up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
