Responsibilities Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for an R&D Process Integration and Development Engineer. This position is within the High Frequency Technology Center at our headquarters in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices. HFTC is part of Keysight Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Keysight's Centers of Excellence, Industry Solutions Teams and Technology Manufacturing Centers to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G Test and Measurement solutions to customers in the communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. Process Development Engineers at HFTC are responsible for process development and sustaining of custom, cutting-edge, micro and nano-fabrication technologies for high performance microwave and millimeter-wave applications. The focus of this position is manufacturing sustainability and R&D support for semiconductor device process engineering with specialization in wafer fab processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Working closely with other process, integration, product, and circuit design engineers to define process and device performance targets. Defining process flows, develop new processes and drive continuous process improvement (CPI) efforts to maximize product yield. Ensuring successful transfer and maintenance of new technologies in manufacturing. Project objectives will encompass performance, reliability and manufacturing goals. Working with Operations Group to implement robust process control and support production processes; diagnose and resolve process problems. Leading capital equipment acquisition projects that include tool evaluation, characterization, process development, and qualification. Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience with development and/or maintaining semiconductor processes and equipment. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) is desired Experience with advanced semiconductor processes and devices is advantageous and specific skills in III-V semiconductor processing is preferred. Candidates must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions. Strong accountability, self-initiative and proactive attitude are required US Citizenship/Permanent Resident status is recommended, but applications from highly qualified candidates requiring work sponsorship will also be considered.
