Job Description We are seeking a Chemist I/II (Contract) to support analytical development activities for therapeutic biologics. The selected candidate will contribute to analytical method development, optimization, robustness, validation, and transfer to commercial labs, while also performing routine laboratory work and ensuring compliance with GLP/GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing in support of method development, robustness, and validation studies.
  • Conduct routine laboratory activities such as sample preparation, weighing, pipetting, pH measurement, and solution preparation.
  • Operate analytical instruments and software to execute established methods.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and documentation per GLP/GMP compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support formulation and process development studies.
  • Assist with the preparation of data packages and method transfer to commercial testing labs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry (or related field) with 35 years of lab experience.
  • Masters degree in Chemistry (or related field) with 0 years of experience.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on laboratory experience with routine activities (sample prep, pipetting, solution prep, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with GLP/GMP requirements.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Practical experience with protein HPLC techniques (SEC, IEX, HIC), capillary electrophoresis, or other separation methods for protein analysis.
  • Experience in analytical development and method transfer.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
