Rotating weekday off
Facility operates Monday 6:00 AM through Saturday 6:00 AM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Chemical Operator to join a chemical manufacturing facility in La Porte, TX. This role will initially focus on truck loading and unloading of liquid chemical raw materials and finished products. After successful performance and training, employees may be cross-trained into production, blending, and catalyst manufacturing operations.

This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity with consistent hours and built-in overtime.
Day-One Responsibilities:

• Load and unload liquid chemicals from tanker trucks, ISO tanks, and drums
• Transfer raw materials and finished products using hoses, pumps, and valves
• Perform safety checks and verify connections before transfers
• Monitor loading and unloading operations for leaks or irregularities
• Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and environmental regulations
• Wear required PPE, including respirators or breathing masks when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe truck loading/unloading area

Additional Responsibilities (After Training):

• Assist with chemical blending and production operations
• Support catalyst manufacturing processes
• Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates
• Accurately document production and material movement activities

Requirements:

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in an industrial environment
• Comfortable performing physical tasks such as standing, climbing, handling hoses, and opening valves
• Willingness to wear full PPE, including respirators
• Comfortable working around strong odors, fumes, and chemicals
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Manufacturing, chemical, or industrial experience preferred but not required

Screening Requirements:

• Drug screening required
• Criminal background check required
