Software Development Engineer in Test (QA, SDET)

Role: Senior SDET

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Duration: 9+ Months Contract

We re looking for someone with a strong background in Java-based automation and API testing, who can take ownership of frameworks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills Required:

10+ years of experience in QA/SDET roles

Strong hands-on experience in Java development (5+ years)

Expertise in BDD frameworks (Cucumber/JBehave)

Solid experience in REST API testing

Extensive experience in test automation framework design (8+ years)

Performance testing using JMeter

Strong SQL/querying skills

Experience with CI/CD and integration testing

What You ll Be Doing:

Enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks

Building and executing API automation test strategies

Developing automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines

Leading testing efforts across full-stack and integrations

Mentoring team members and driving best practices
