Position Overview

VALiNTRY is seeking a Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing operations within a chemical production environment. This role supports operational excellence by driving process efficiency, maintaining product quality, ensuring safe and compliant operations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Position in Brazil, IN

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process optimization initiatives focused on increasing throughput, improving yield, reducing waste, and enhancing overall plant performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes using data-driven methodologies to identify bottlenecks, process variability, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing effective solutions in real time.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive continuous improvement programs utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and company standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and EHS to support process changes, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
  • Monitor and analyze key process performance indicators (KPIs), develop reporting tools and dashboards, and recommend process adjustments to maintain stable operations.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation systems, and process improvements to enhance manufacturing capabilities and reliability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or related discipline preferred).
  • Experience within chemical manufacturing, batch processing, continuous processing, or related industrial production environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities with experience using process modeling, statistical analysis, or data visualization tools.
  • Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and organizational levels.
