Principal Scientist, Consumables & Lab Automation

Duties: Lead invention, development and commercialization of chromatography stationary phases and solid phase extraction sorbents within cell and gene therapy consumables material science. Develop chromatography packing materials for oligo, nucleic acid and related delivery vehicle such as AAV and lipid nanoparticle characterization. Research and develop product initiatives such as AEX, HILIC and surface charged RP. Lead phase-gated projects to ensure phase appropriate control strategy/documentation. Collaborate with engineers, analytical chemists, application scientists and production to develop products and transfer them to manufacturing. 5% domestic/international travel to present in conferences and interact with customers.

Requirements: (1) PhD in Chemistry or a related field; (2) three years of experience as a Researcher; (3) demonstrated experience with: organic/inorganic hybrid material synthesis, synthesizing polymeric chromatographic and adsorptive materials in particulate and monolithic format, controlled polymerization techniques, and surface modification of inorganic and organic materials
