Teach undergraduate courses and/or laboratories in core areas of chemical engineering and contribute to student success, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts consistent with Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) standards. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations. Primary Location: Youngstown Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Minimum Qualifications: At least a master's degree in chemical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of relevant industrial experience is desirable, particularly for upper-division and engineering design instruction. Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work. Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
