Independently performs laborory procedures for which the technologist has been trained and demonstred competency. Independently performs laborory testing on pients of all ages using professional knowledge of laborory procedures, executing, interpreting and/or analyzing, in an accure and timely manner.

Educion

• H.S. Diploma or General Educion Degree (GED) plus a sufficient number of college and/or technical school courses and clinical training to sisfy the requirements for testing and certificion as a medical technologist by an approved certifying agency Required
• Bachelors Degree in clinical laborory science, biomedical science, medical technology or in a life / biological science (biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.) Preferred

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of supervised clinical experience as a medical technologist in a clinical laborory Preferred

• Certificion as a medical technologist or medical laborory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Phologists (ASCP), AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB (American Associion of Bioanalysts) according to the qualificions through the Ste of Georgia Department of Community Health, Healthcare Facility, Clinical Laborory regulions. Upon Hire Required or
• A person who recently moved into the ste of Georgia or recently completed the academic and training/experience requirements may be temporarily classified as technologists or technicians for eighteen (18) months only to afford the person an opportunity to successfully complete an approved qualifying examinion. within 1-1/2 Yrs Required
• AAB provisional certificion not accepted
