Job Description and Duties
Lead responsibility for coordinating environmental compliance related to the Feather River Fish Hatchery and fishery programs in the Feather River, as well as supporting other environmental and recreation programs associated with the Oroville Field Division, including the FERC Project 2100 Hydropower License.
Work on various tasks specific to projects, programs, and functions including implementation of the environmental and recreation components of FERC License No. 2100, Clean Water Act, Fish and Game Code, fisheries issues associated with Oroville Field Division, and other environmental requirements and regulations. Incumbent will perform a variety of responsible scientific professional office and fieldwork. Incumbent will gather data on environmental and recreational issues; perform environmental analysis, research, surveys, investigations, and studies, write reports, prepare non-routine correspondence, and answer questions from the public; prepare regulatory and compliance documents. Coordinate acquisition of permits and monitor program compliance with environmental laws, regulations, policies, and permits.

Employee is required to successfully complete all safety training related to the functions of the job. Must possess a valid California Driver's License, as travel will be required. Strength and ability to move up to 50 pounds. Ability to enter and exit vehicles, ascend/descend lake embankments, walk over rough terrain, bend, and stoop. Incumbent will be required to operate automotive vehicles on public roadways, travel to remote areas is sometimes necessary to perform the requirements of this position. The ability to communicate effectively with public groups is required.
