Harcros Chemicals is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Chemical Technician II on 2nd shift to support laboratory operations, product quality, and research and development activities. This role is responsible for performing chemical and physical testing, supporting process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting quality issues, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting with product development and R&D projects.
The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and passionate about maintaining high quality standards while supporting innovation and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform chemical, physical, and visual testing using laboratory and analytical equipment.
Support R&D activities including setting up, troubleshooting, and monitoring chemical reactions.
Assist with development, validation, and improvement of testing procedures and quality processes.
Maintain laboratory equipment, records, databases, and quality documentation.
Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Prepare, manage, and ship laboratory and customer samples in compliance with applicable regulations.
Support hazardous and non-hazardous chemical shipping activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or another related scientific field required.
Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills required.
Experience with data analysis, interpretation, and reporting preferred.
Required Skills
Experience using laboratory and analytical equipment such as GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, pH meters, titrators, and related instruments preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
