Job Requisition: MEDIC001651 Employment Type: Per Diem Shift: Rotating - Days, Evenings, Weekends Hours Per Week: As scheduled Hiring Range: $40.00 Flat rate The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities: Performs, validates, interprets, documents and reports laboratory test results. May collect and process specimens. Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Executes and evaluates quality control and quality assurance procedures. Documents and reports as required by regulatory agencies. Understands and participates in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing; pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical. Anticipates and maintains required supplies for uninterrupted testing. Assists with data collection or special projects as assigned. Assists in documentation, evaluation and submission of all required laboratory, departmental and staff statistics/reports. Assists in training and mentoring MLTs, new associates and students. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Required Credential(s) : Bachelor's degree Clinical Laboratory Technologist credentialed from the New York Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Experience: Hematology background strongly preferred: Previous experience in Cancer Medicine and Credential from New York Board of Clinical Laboratory Technologists Required Skills and Attributes: Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.
