Overview The Laboratory Technician (Part-time) supports laboratory supervisors and chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analyses to ensure product quality and process control. This role is responsible for conducting wet chemistry testing, preparing samples and reagents, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation in line with standard operating procedures. The position plays a key role in supporting plant operations through quality assurance and control activities. Responsibilities Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing, including wet chemistry analyses on product and in-process samples. Prepare and handle samples to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Operate and utilize analytical instruments to support quality assurance and control requirements. Conduct calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and testing standards. Record and maintain accurate test data and documentation in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Assist laboratory supervisors and chemists in diagnosing and addressing quality issues. Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory. Support continuous improvement of laboratory processes and testing methods as directed. Qualifications Education: Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering. Experience: Prior experience in laboratory operations or quality control systems is preferred. Skills:Strong understanding of laboratory testing and analytical methods. Computer literacy with the ability to document and manage data accurately. Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision.
