Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelors degree in a related field as required by client.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required. Acceptable: MLT(AAB), MLT(AMT), MLT(ASCP), or MLT-P (provisional) as specified by client.
• Laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty if required by state.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Demonstrated competency with patient/specimen identification, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and instrumentation maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital general laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and regulatory compliance processes.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Typical shift pattern: 3x12.
• May be required to follow department procedures for pending logs, notification value calls, and hand-off processes.
