Position Description:

The University of Louisville is seeking to hire a Temporary Research Scientist. The position is available in the Kopechek Lab, located in the Department of Bioengineering, to conduct ultrasound therapy studies to improve cancer immunotherapy treatment. This position will include designing and conducting experimental studies and analyzing the experimental results. The Research Scientist will also be expected to prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and assist with pursuing grant funding to support research projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in bioengineering, or a related area.

  • Significant prior research experience in relevant topics, such as ultrasound therapy technologies and techniques such as histotripsy.

  • Acquiring and analyzing ultrasound images in rodents with Verasonics and Vevo imaging systems, and culture of cancer cells for microscopy and molecular assays.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
