Our client, a leading organization in the biotechnology and healthcare industry, is seeking a Scientist II to join their innovative R&D team supporting clinical laboratory development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration, and precision, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Scientist II

Location: Guilford, CT

Pay Range: $35/hr

What's the Job?

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop next-generation sequencing assays for clinical use.
• Prepare samples, operate instruments, analyze data, and write study protocols and reports.
• Contribute to the development of diagnostic assays that meet regulatory standards.
• Participate in product verification and validation processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain strict adherence to molecular biology protocols and laboratory safety standards.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology or a related field with 2+ years of industry or academic experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven skills in molecular biology techniques including DNA, RNA, and protein handling, PCR, and qPCR.
• Knowledge of sequencing and molecular amplification methods, with experience in next-generation sequencing, preferably with Ion Torrent Technologies.
• Proficiency in basic data analysis and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to follow detailed molecular biology protocols and work effectively in a busy, collaborative laboratory environment.
