The AWS Da Center Engineering - BIM & AI Technologies team is pioneering the next generion of AI-powered design automion for AWS's global da center infrastructure. We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer with Building Informion Modeling (BIM) domain expertise to architect and deliver innovive solutions th transform how da center design documention is creed, upded, and reviewed scale.

As an SDE II on this team, you'll lead the design and implemention of novel generive AI applicions th serve architects, engineers, construction managers, and facility operors. Working alongside software engineers, applied scientists, UX designers, product managers, and industry domain experts, you'll architect scalable production-ready systems th integre BIM plforms, desktop applicions, cloud services, and AI technologies to accelere facility design workflows. This is an opportunity to leverage your Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Ownership (AECO) industry expertise alongside your advanced software engineering skills to productionize ML models, mentor junior engineers, and solve complex design automion challenges for the building engineering and construction industry an unprecedented scale.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable solutions for complex problems in the BIM and design automion space, balancing technical excellence with business impact

- Lead the development of new feures and services th deliver da center design projects faster while maintaining high quality standards

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices and establish coding standards for the team

- Collabore with applied scientists to productionize ML models for BIM and AECO applicions, ensuring robust deployment and monitoring

- Work closely with product, design, science, and AECO subject mter experts to deliver novel BIM and AI solutions

- Design and implement integrions between BIM plforms (e.g., Autodesk Plform Services, Revit, etc.) and AWS services with focus on reliability and scalability

- Implement human-in-the-loop (HITL) workflows th combine engineering expertise with AI automion, ensuring AI systems augment rher than replace professional judgment

- Drive technical discussions and build consensus on architectural decisions within your team and across partner teams

- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing

- Advoce for critical customers and stakeholders during team prioritizion and planning, influencing roadmap decisions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design pterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with least one software programming language
- 3+ years of experience developing Building Informion Modeling (BIM) software solutions for the AECO industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operions experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applicions in AECO industry problems (e.g., building design engineering automion, compliance checking, or construction documention workflows)
- Experience with BIM software plforms and APIs such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Forma, Autodesk Plform Services, or similar AECO industry tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compension will be determined based on factors including experience, qualificions, and locion.
