Our Medical Lab Technicians (MLT) perform assigned laborory tests in specialty departments to include Hemology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulion, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. By conducting laborory tests and procedures, you will help to provide da for the diagnosis, trement, and prevention of disease.

• Day-to-day duties include complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hemologic, and chemical tests and their results.
• You will also be responsible for specimen receiving and putting away supplies when received in the department.
• You will troubleshoot/resolve instrument problems and document corrective action in approprie log and when necessary, perform instrumention repairs.
• Assure th quality control is properly performed and logged and follow proper department procedure for corrective action.
• Demonstre the knowledge and skills to train new employees and/or students.
• You will actively participe in phlebotomy and the accession responsibilities.
  
  

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist experience is preferred.

EDUCATION:

• An Associe's Degree in Medical Laborory Technology, Biological, Chemical, and/or Physical Science is required. A Nursing Degree will be considered with the required CLIA acceptable courses. An Associe's Degree in Medical Laborory Technology or Laborory Science is preferred.

CERTIFICATION:

• Successful completion of registry within 12 months of hire for anyone with a hire de after 1/1/2005. Registry/Licensure in a specialty area will be considered. An ASCP, AMT,NCA, or HEW are preferred. Continuing educion to maintain registry/licensure is required.
