Scientist I - Cell Line Development & Mammalian Cell Culture
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable global biopharmaceuticalanization known for advancing innovative biologics and next-generation therapeutic development in Framingham, MA.

Schedule: Full-Time | Fully Onsite
Assignment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $60.14/HOUR
Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Position Overview
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Scientist I to join a Cell Line Development team focused on advancing mammalian expression platforms and rbinant cell line technologies supporting biologic drug development.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative research aimed at improving cell line generation processes, increasing productivity, enhancing product quality, and accelerating development timelines. The successful candidate will support the development and optimization of rbinant CHO cell lines expressingplex biologic therapeutics while working within a highly collaborative and fast-paced research environment.
This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on mammalian cell culture experience who are looking to further develop expertise in cell line development, molecular biology, and biologics research.
Key Responsibilities
Cell Line Development
Support the generation and optimization of rbinant mammalian cell lines expressing therapeutic proteins.
Assist with transfection, clone selection, and cell line screening activities.
Support platform research initiatives designed to improve productivity, stability, and product quality.
Execute multiple parallel studies supporting cell line generation workflows.
Mammalian Cell Culture
Perform routine mammalian cell culture activities including:
Sterile technique
Cell counting
Passaging
Cryopreservation
Media preparation
Cell maintenance
Maintain healthy suspension and adnt cell cultures following established protocols.
Support culture expansion and experimental studies utilizing mammalian expression systems.
Molecular Biology
Perform standard molecular biology techniques including:
DNA plasmid preparation
PCR
Restriction enzyme digestion
DNA analysis and characterization
Support gene engineering and construct development activities.
Data Analysis & Documentation
Record experimental observations accurately and maintain detailed laboratory documentation.
Analyze and interpret experimental results.
Prepare technical summaries, reports, presentations, and research updates.
Communicate findings effectively to project teams and leadership.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with scientists across Cell Line Development, Process Development, Analytical Development, and other research groups.
Participate in scientific discussions and contribute to project goals.
Maintain a collaborative, quality-focused laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
Education
PhD in Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific discipline
OR
Master's Degree with relevant industry experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree with equivalent industry experience
Required Skills & Experience
Mammalian Cell Culture
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture.
Experience performing:
Sterile technique
Cell counting
Passaging
Cryopreservation
Routine tissue culture operations
Laboratory Skills
Strong laboratory operations experience.
Ability to execute experiments while following established protocols.
Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
Soft Skills
Excellentmunication skills.
Stronganizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Cell Line Development
Experience with CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cell culture and cell line development.
Experience working in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
Molecular Biology
Gene editing technologies
CRISPR applications
Gibson Assembly
Copy number analysis
Mammalian expression systems
Additional Preferred Experience
Suspension culture of CHO cell lines.
Research supporting rbinant protein expression.
Electronic laboratory notebook experience.
Scientific report writing and presentation experience.
