Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable global biopharmaceutical organization known for pioneering innovative therapies and advancing breakthrough scientific research in Cambridge, MA.** **Scientist III** **Location:** Cambridge, MA **Schedule:** Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST **Pay Rate:** Up to $ 90.21/hour **Assignment Type:** Contract **Work Arrangement:** Full-Time **Position Overview** Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Scientist III to join an innovative Retinal Immunology and Neuroinflammation research team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research focused on understanding immune mechanisms involved in retinal diseases and advancing novel therapeutic approaches for patients. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment, supporting target validation, assay development, translational biology initiatives, and preclinical research programs. **Key Responsibilities** + Design and execute experiments investigating immune and neuroinflammatory mechanisms involved in retinal diseases. + Support target validation activities from discovery through preclinical development. + Develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and validate immunological and cell-based assays. + Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams and external research partners. + Support screening and evaluation of preclinical therapeutic candidates using disease-relevant functional assays. + Perform quantitative protein analysis using ELISA and MSD platforms. + Maintain and culture adherent cell lines and iPSC-derived cell types. + Isolate, activate, and characterize primary immune cells. + Analyze and interpret experimental data and communicate findings to project teams. + Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records in accordance with company standards. + Contribute to scientific discussions, innovation initiatives, and research strategy development. **Required Qualifications** **Education & Experience** **One of the following is required:** + PhD in Immunology, Neuroscience, Cell Biology, or related scientific discipline with 0-3 years of postdoctoral and/or industry experience **OR** + Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 4-7 years of hands-on laboratory research experience **Technical Qualifications** + Demonstrated expertise in neuroimmunology and immune cell biology + Experience working in neurological, inflammatory, ophthalmic, or related disease research + Strong assay development, optimization, troubleshooting, and validation experience + Hands-on experience with ELISA and/or MSD platforms + Experience maintaining and culturing adherent cell lines + Experience working with iPSC-derived cell types + Experience isolating and characterizing primary immune cells + Ability to independently design and execute laboratory experiments + Strong scientific problem-solving and analytical skills **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with retinal biology or retinal disease research + Experience with co-culture systems + Experience with organoids, 3D culture models, or organ-on-a-chip technologies + Experience with live-cell imaging and high-content imaging platforms + Translational biology or preclinical drug discovery experience + Biopharmaceutical industry experience **Desired Competencies** + Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Exceptional attention to detail and data integrity + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative research environment + Strong organizational and project management skills + Patient-focused scientific mindset + Ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams **Why Work for Adecco?** + Weekly Pay + 401(k) Plan + Skills Training + Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
