Job Title: LiFEsports Summer Associate -Lead Research Associate Department: Social Work | Faculty Affairs-JM

The College of Social Work at The Ohio State University seeks hourly part-time research assistants to support research on the implementation of the LiFEsports program on campus and in community-based sites in Columbus. Under the supervision of Dr. Samantha Bates (faculty in the College of Social Work), the research assistants will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary and community-engaged team conducting research projects focused on life skill development through sport. The research assistants will assist with data collection, entry, and management. Other duties of this role may include conducting literature reviews, developing/refining study protocols, recruiting research subjects, collecting additional data, assisting with grant writing activities, attending meetings with team members and partners, and other duties as assigned. This position is an hourly part-time (20 hours per week) position, with funding for 2-3 months. The duration of this position is contingent upon performance and approval of ongoing external funding.

Required Experience:

Bachelors degree (Enrollment in Graduate School - candidate)/equivalent required. Microsoft Office proficiency is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Desired Experience:

Masters in a sport or youth applied discipline (e.g., social work, sport management, psychology, etc.).
