As a Sr Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving innovation, shaping the company's technical strategy, and contributing to the development of sustainable solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, industry experts, and stakeholders to solve complex challenges and advance the company's mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and champion process improvement
  • Identify, communicate, and drive technical recommendations on the process with the operations team
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment related problems and drive correction actions for quality, health, environmental, safety and production related issues.
  • Interpret the health of the production system using a Distributed Control System (DCS), data historian (PI) and other data collection processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis of process, quality, and HSE related issues; both individually and team based.
  • Operation of semiworks scale pilot plants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to solve complex challenges
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable solutions
  • Conduct research and experiments to advance technical capabilities
  • Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making processes

PERSON REQUIREMENTS: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical or related discipline) or Chemistry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or research & development environment

  • Lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen)

  • Experience in a chemical industrial manufacturing plant preferred
