Job Title: Chemistry Technician II
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chemistry Technician II to join our dynamic team. The position involves planning, performing, and completing projects under direct supervision, along with method performance, transfer, development, feasibility, and validation. The candidate will demonstrate proficiency in operating and calibrating laboratory equipment and instruments, conduct lab tests to determine physical and chemical characteristics, perform data analysis, and begin technical assessments. The role requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, procedures, and regulations, and involves working under general supervision with a certain degree of independence and judgment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform projects under direct supervision.
- Conduct method performance, transfer, development, feasibility, and validation.
- Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments such as HPLC, GC, Dissolution, and more.
- Independently perform lab tests to determine physical and chemical characteristics.
- Conduct data analysis and begin technical assessments.
- Utilize data acquisition software and instrument operating software.
- Apply standard concepts, practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Work under general supervision with independent judgment.
- Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in analytical chemistry.
- Experience with HPLC and GC chromatography.
- Understanding of stability testing and wet chemistry.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety precautions and protocols.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical and business information effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BA/BS in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field preferred.
- 1-4 years of related industry experience in an analytical laboratory.
- Intermediate mathematical skills including algebraic functions, statistics, and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Capability to work varied and extended hours/days as business dictates.
Work Environment
The position is on the 1st shift, Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM-5:00PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
