Chemist

Key Role:

Perform hands-on experimental chemistry in support of research, development, and production of Defense programs. Use scientific chemical expertise to assist with the improvement of products, analyses, or procedures. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts with industry knowledge. Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with research in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or chemical biology, including in an academic research environment

  • Knowledge of relationships between chemical properties, including material, structural, or electrical

  • Ability to present complex scientific concepts to a broad audience

  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and solve problems

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis, fundamental chemical reactions, fundamental chemical properties, and experimental procedures

  • Experience in laboratory work through college coursework or research and industrial work

  • Knowledge of chemical safety

  • Ability to maintain a safe chemical working environment

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry

  • American Chemical Society (ACS) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
