Job#: 2075963 Job Description: Job Description: Posting Title : System Tester/ Quality Control Specialist Number of Positions : 1 Desired Career Level : 3+ Years Experience Education Level : Bachelors Degree Contract Start Date : 7/1/2025 Contract End Date : 6/30/2030 Project Name : Quality Control Tester Work Location : Jackson MS 39201 Position Information: Shift : 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Hours per Week : 40 Overtime : None On-Call : NO Expenses Reimbursed : NO Travel : Yes Background Check/Drug Screen : Waived Standard Background Check Position Description and Job Skill Set Job Functions : Create and develop test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications Execute and document manual and automated tests to verify functionality, identify defects, and ensure quality Perform testing for all test phases, including regression testing to validate software changes and releases Manage incidents using testing tools, including prioritization, severity, and impact assessment Collaborate with business owners, analysts, and vendors to validate software accuracy and project delivery Review and understand project documentation to grasp project scope Identify and report inconsistencies in documentation and system design Facilitate testing status meetings as needed Prepare and identify all test data needed for execution and coordinate data collection Ensure all testers have necessary credentials and testing environments Identify and report risks and issues as they arise Ensure timely reporting and retesting of discovered incidents or issues Support and participate in testing events, including weekend testing Design automation testing scripts Develop and deliver training materials Required Skills/Experience : 3+ years of testing experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail orientation and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Familiarity with software methodologies, tools, and processes Experience writing test plans and cases Experience with test automation Ability to work independently Preferred/Not Required Skills NA EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
