A Day in the Life
As a Senior Process Engineer reporting to the Director of CIQ Pilot Plant, you will be a key member of the North America Pilot Team within the Makeup Metier, collaborating closely with other engineers, process experts, quality control, development, packaging, and Research & Innovation teams. This role is crucial in driving the development and optimization of beauty product manufacturing processes, from initial feasibility studies to full-scale production. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, ensuring seamless scale-up and robust product performance while contributing to L'Oreal's commitment to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
- Process Development & Optimization: Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for new product launches and reformulations. This includes conducting bench and pilot-scale experiments, troubleshooting technical challenges, and ensuring seamless scale-up to full production.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a key technical expert in chemical and process operations, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
- Quality Assurance: Manage quality assurance documentation, ensuring adherence to L'Oreal's rigorous standards and regulatory compliance. You will play a vital role in maintaining the exceptional quality of our products.
- Continuous Improvement: Support quality control and efficiency programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and sustainability of our operations.
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities. They are a highly motivated individual with a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence.
- A completed Bachelor's degree Engineering or relevant scientific degree (BS ChemE , Packaging Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science) is required.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in package engineering or Operations Development (required)
- Experience in cosmetics, consumer goods or related field preferred
- Knowledge of packaging and raw materials, transformation, and industrialization processes
- Understanding of chemical and physical reactions
- Strong PC skills; MS Office, PowerPoint, and data base systems
- Excellent communication skills, ability to relate clear results and well-constructed action plans.
- Detailed oriented, good organizational skills to manage the documentation , materials, and information.
- Technical curiosity, Adaptability to change, capacity to challenge, thirst for knowledge, and ability to manage multiple projects.

A B.S. in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
Proficiency in English is required.
