Chemical Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a Chemical Lab Technician who will be responsible for a variety of laboratory tasks. The role involves handling chemicals, conducting titrations, measuring pH levels, using pipettes and lab tubes, and entering data into computer software. You will also be responsible for performing dilutions to meet Quality Assurance Standards, washing glassware, calibrating equipment and sensors, and assisting chemists with experiments. Responsibilities Handle chemicals safely and responsibly. Conduct titrations and accurately measure pH levels. Use pipettes and lab tubes effectively. Enter data accurately into computer software. Perform dilutions to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Standards. Wash and maintain laboratory glassware. Calibrate laboratory equipment and sensors. Assist chemists in conducting experiments. Essential Skills Proficiency in conducting titrations. Understanding of chemical safety protocols. Ability to measure and adjust pH levels. Experience with using pipettes and handling chemical reagents. Additional Skills & Qualifications Candidates with school lab experience or an Associate's degree are welcome. Willingness to learn and grow in a technologically advanced lab setting. Work Environment The work environment is a laboratory setting with new equipment installations. The lab is at the forefront of technology in the plating industry, offering opportunities for future growth. The position requires working the 3rd shift hours: Monday from 9pm to 5:30am, Tuesday to Friday from 8pm to 4:30am, and one Sunday per month for overtime starting at 9pm. The Director is a hands-on leader who values teaching and coaching.
