Leveraged Analytical Sciences (LAS) at Marlborough is seeking a talented analytical chemist to provide innovative and reliable solutions to Electronics and Industrial (E&I) business challenges. The candidate will work as part of cross-functional teams in support of E&I R&D, Engineering Sciences, Manufacturing, and Quality. This exciting position will be responsible for developing and applying analytical techniques to solve complex problems, with a focus on providing high-quality analytical data and results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry and a passion for working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment to support E&I's business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analytical method development and verification for new materials/products independently or minimal guidance from senior scientists

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality) on technical projects

  • Maintain high-quality documentation and prepare technical reports/seminars

  • Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties who are not familiar with analytical chemistry

  • Work closely with global technical experts and leverage technical expertise/specialty

  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment

  • Ensure the accuracy of analytical reports and completeness of test requests

  • Train and coach other associates to facilitate knowledge exchange

  • Fulfill all requirements of group, site, and company safety, ethics, and quality programs

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Chemistry with a minimum of 5+ years relevant industry experience or MS in Analytical Chemistry with 3+ years relevant industry experience

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as NMR, LCMS, ICMS, Titration, X-ray, or Spectroscopy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to develop scientific approaches to solve technical problems

  • Prior experience with semiconductor product development

  • Ability to quickly and effectively build relationships with the global team

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and resource-limited environment

  • Experience with statistical software like JMP
