We are looking to hire a **Senior Chemical Engineer** specializing in **Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs** ) to join our Engineering Projects team at UOP Honeywell.

In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of experienced engineers across multiple U.S. locations and global engineering offices. You will support the development, review, and implementation of engineering documents and pressure relief system designs for customers around the world

**ROSEMONT, ILLIONIS SALARY RANGE ONLY:** _The range provided is for Rosemont, IL only and does not include Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK._

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Analyze pressure relief scenarios and review PRV relief loads across various equipment configurations and systems in support of process technology teams

Investigate and document the causes and conditions of potential overpressure events

Ensure PRV project specifications align with UOP standards and applicable industry requirements

Respond to customer inquiries, clarify UOP practices, and evaluate requests for deviations

Maintain and improve PRV infrastructure tools and documentation; develop analysis procedures and coordinate tool testing and updates

Deliver training sessions to internal teams and external customers on pressure relief system design and best practices

Provide technical support to UOP Services for pressure relief system issues in both new and operating units

**YOU MUST HAVE:**

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

7+ years of industry experience in areas such as pressure relief design, process safety, flare systems, or work within oil & gas, petrochemical, or refining industries, including familiarity with ASME and API standards.

Process experience in refinery, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries

Effective presentation skills
