The Analytical Food Chemist will be responsible for conducting basic to advanced physical and analytical testing of food materials and ingredients. This role supports innovation, product development, and research initiatives within the PFNA foods portfolio by providing accurate and timely analytical insights. The position involves working with a range of analytical instruments, maintaining laboratory standards, and collaborating with internal partners across departments. Job Responsibilities: Conduct analytical food chemistry testing and physical analysis for ingredients and finished products Support core and innovation testing as well as product development for productivity initiatives Deliver accurate data and actionable insights for research and development teams Use laboratory instruments and statistical methods to ensure testing accuracy Ensure documentation is maintained via Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards Provide technical training on thermal and rheological analysis methods Present findings clearly through reports and presentations Collaborate cross-functionally with global and local teams Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting of ingredient or product performance issues Required Skills: Attention to detail in conducting experiments and delivering results Experience with analytical food chemistry methods Familiarity with LIMS and data documentation tools Understanding of statistical analysis and measurement reliability Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Proficiency in technical writing and effective communication Ability to work independently and collaboratively Demonstrated organizational and time-management capabilities Knowledge of safe chemical handling and general lab hazards Preferred Skills: Experience with foods physical testing for ingredient and product innovation Exposure to global teamwork and cross-functional collaboration Team-building and inclusive leadership abilities Strong presentation and email communication skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related discipline (required) 3+ yearsa experience in the Food & Beverage industry (preferred) Education: Bachelors Degree
