Job Description: The R & D group is growing to support a rapidly evolving data center cooling market. Munters is seeking an experienced Engineering Laboratory Manager who can support our active product development roadmap. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for providing high quality test data, supervising hourly employees, setting the lab schedule, maintaining a data acquisition system, and supporting production and development testing of control systems. Qualifications: Education: Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Minimum: Associates Degree in a technical discipline. Minimum of 10 years experience in Engineering including a combination of laboratory testing, programming, and supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in using HVAC testing equipment and software. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the laboratory for extended periods. Responsibilities: Validation of controls programs on development projects Troubleshooting production issues with controls or electrical components Prepare detailed reports on testing results, providing insights and recommendations based on the analysis. Select, program, and maintain data acquisition system equipment. Develop and maintain laboratory schedules, ensuring timely completion of testing projects. Ensure that all testing procedures adhere to industry standards and company protocols. Conduct HVAC testing, including refrigeration, airflow measurements, and power measurements, as needed. Maintain accurate records of all testing activities and results. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to laboratory equipment or testing processes. Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments to support overall project goals and objectives. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in HVAC testing methodologies. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Manage the procurement of rental equipment and laboratory supplies.
