RESEARCH ASSOCIATE , J-PAL North America , to help reduce poverty by ensuring policy is informed by scientific evidence; provide research management support on impact evaluations on a range of topics selected through J-PAL North America’s funding initiatives and also help the Research team draw lessons from the implementation and analysis of evaluations and translate these lessons into generalizable best practices, protocols, or training materials; and support the development of resources that could contribute to the success of new academics who are beginning to work on RCTs.
REQUIRED : Bachelor’s degree in economics, public policy, statistics or a related field; a minimum of two years of relevant experience, which may include experience gained through relevant internships or policy/research work; demonstrated training in statistics and quantitative methods as well as advanced writing skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences; strong project management skills and attention to detail; strong technical skills; an understanding of impact evaluation; training in economics and statistics; and commitment to evidence-based policy.
