Description

The worlds leading health care diagnostics and drug development company is actively hiring. This local facility is their central laboratory for testing services and bioanalysis services. Currently their Bioanalytical Team is actively seeking a Chemist III to join their group long-term. In this position you'll be analyzing in-vivo samples primarily with LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry).

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Conducts routine analyses independently in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, and SOPs

Documents work properly; maintains study documentation and laboratory records

Independently able to use and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as appropriate for assigned tasks

Provides input and participates in project meetings

Performs QC review of data

Recognizes deviations from normal results and informs Study Director, Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data

Able to adapt techniques to new procedures or particular needs as directed

Contributes to a cohesive team environment. Plans individual workload in coordination with team members

Assists in evaluating data for report preparation and experiment modification as directed

Interacts with internal and external clients

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skill Requirements:

1) Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or related field

2) Minimum 1+ years of analytical chemistry experience outside of school

3) At least 6+ months of LCMS experience

Nice To Have Technical Skills:

1) Method Development or Method Validation

2) Proficient with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus

Work Environment

This position is based in Indianapolis and requires on-site in a regulated and clean laboratory environment. The work environment involves collaboration with various departments, using compliance management software and maintaining communication with regulators. Use of various analytical instruments. Dress code is professional, and the work schedule adheres to standard day shift hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
