Environmental Scientist

The Santa Ana Water Board has an opening for Environmental Scientist and is looking for individuals with a background in water quality and environmental science to join the TMDL Development Unit. The position is located at 3737 Main Street, Suite 500, Riverside, CA 92501.

Duties:

Candidate will develop and implement Total Maximum Daily Loads and assess the status of inland and coastal water bodies for the Integrated 305(b)/303(d) Report. This position requires skills in data analysis, communication, public speaking, technical writing, evaluation of scientific studies, water quality sampling, problem solving, organization, investigation, and proficiency with word processing and data management software in order to enhance and protect inland lakes, streams, coastal wetlands, steams, estuaries, bays, and ocean waters within the jurisdiction of the Santa Ana Water Board.

Salary information CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
