Why join this team Protect UNFCU's assets by helping to assess the quality and effectiveness of controls related to collections policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis to provide support and insights relevant to past due accounts, bankruptcy, foreclosures, and workouts. What you'll do Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU's mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors Monitor and report collections activities (including bankruptcy reporting, recovery transactions, and UN separation clearances) are performed accurately Verify and report consumer loan deferments and mortgage forbearances are processed accurately on a monthly basis On a quarterly basis verify: Accounts have been assigned to collection agencies within established SLA FNMA/FHLB/ Freddie Mac reporting via eMaqcs Plus PMI reporting is performed timely and accurately Prepare requested files for internal and external audit review Ensure workout, foreclosure, and bankruptcy documents and timelines are within service level agreements Track receipt of bankruptcy payments as needed Review late notice process periodically Review and recommend updates to procedures and policies and verify controls Monitor and report that disability claims are processed accurately and timely Assist in ensuring accurate credit bureau reporting (inclusive of loan settlements and ChexSystems for NSF accounts) Provide courteous and professional service to all UNFCU employees and members and respond to member inquiries within 24 hours Prepare monthly summary reports for management review Collaborate with other UNFCU departments as needed Maintain confidentiality of all member account information Perform additional responsibilities as assigned Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU's Code of Ethics & Business Conduct What we're seeking Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, or business intelligence is preferred 3-5 years of experience focused on quality control functions and reporting with administrative responsibilities What makes you stand out Knowledge of CFPB and FDCPA Working knowledge of collections procedures, loan underwriting, bankruptcy code, and all applicable regulations Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel Who we are UNFCU is an equal opportunity employer.
